I/C Expo to highlight Hi Tech process instrumentation, controls and automation in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - If pre-registration numbers are any indication, there will be an overflow crowd attending the first ISA-affiliated process instrumentation, controls and automation exhibition and training event to be held in San Diego in many years. At three weeks before the event, all 18 reserved classrooms have been filled with first-class training classes, with a waiting list should more classroom space become available. Exhibitors from international manufacturers such as Honeywell, Siemens, Emerson and General Atomics have been signing up every day.

There is no cost to those in the industry and to students be admitted into the Exhibit Hall or to attend any of the technical training sessions. However, some of the classes and workshops are limited to 25 people, and pre-registering online is the only way to guarantee that you will have a seat in all sessions.

Who will benefit from the expo? Industry breakdown on the pre-registered attendees so far is: 16% End Users, Water/Wastewater; 14% Service, Automation; 8% End Users, Power; 8% Engineering Firms; 4% College/University; 4% Service, Integrator; 2% End Users, Biotech; 2% End Users, Cement; 2% End Users, Electrical; 2% End Users, Gas; 2% Individual; and 35% Other.

Job function category breakdown of those pre-registering is: 31% Technician; 29% Engineer; 29% Management; 9% Sales & Marketing; and 2% Students. Neither of these breakdowns includes exhibitors or training class instructors.
